South Austin Serenaders

The “South Austin Serenaders” are an Austin-based musical trio delivering vintage “hapa haole”,
the style of music that blend traditional Hawaiian melodies with English lyrical and American
popular styles.
Their sound draws heavily from the golden era of Hawaiian music of the 1930s-1950’s, featuring
the distinctive voice of the steel guitar.
They also perform selected classic country, western swing and honky tonk, adding an
unmistakable island feel.
The core individual members pursue distinct careers as working roots and traditional music
instrumentalists and vocalists in the Texas music scene.
