Chris, raised in a musical family, began playing the fiddle at four, participating in contests throughout Texas. His musical journey continued in high school with the saxophone, leading to a full scholarship at Abilene Christian University. Over time, he taught himself various instruments including mandolin, rhythm guitar, bass guitar, piano, and harmonica.

He joined his first band in 1995, and by 1997, the Chris Story Band was born. After performing in clubs and dance halls for years, Chris ventured into corporate events and weddings, traveling across the United States to entertain at events for well-known corporations. This experience has made him a well-regarded artist in the event industry.
