Jody started playing bass guitar when he was in the seventh grade and even at that tender age would sit in with Bobby’s band. When Jody finished high school he went on the road with the band. After being on the road for a few years, and a good education in the music business, Jody stepped up to fronting the band and singing.

Now the tables have turned and Bobby is playing with The Jody Jenkins Band. He also helps Jody run the band. Father and son write songs together, and with the exception of one song, all the songs recorded on the first two CDs were all written by the duo.
