J. Serrato is a dynamic saxophonist and composer known for his electrifying live performances, lush tone, and genre-blending sound. Born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas, he followed in his father’s footsteps as a bandleader before refining his craft at the University of North Texas and launching his career in Austin.

One of the city’s most in-demand musicians, Serrato has performed with Grammy-winning artists including Jason Mraz, Grupo Fantasma, The BoDeans, Control Machete, and Cristian Castro. His original compositions have been featured in film and television, and his debut album Let’s Go! is streaming worldwide.

In October 2025, Serrato headlined the historic Texas Jazz Festival, marking a major milestone in his artistic journey. In February 2026, he released his heartfelt single “Brick by Brick,” with additional new music arriving in March 2026—further showcasing his evolving voice as a leading artist in modern jazz, soul, and R&B.
