Mango Punch

Latin Variety Party Band

Mango Punch

Mango Punch!, 6 time winner in the Houston Press Music Awards, lives up to that distinction! They have performed in prominent concerts and events, like the pregame show of world-renowned Super Bowl XXXVIII and the inaugural ceremony for both Major White (2002) and Major Parker (2010) of Houston. Formed in 1991, the band has accumulated a pristine track record performing at weddings, galas, and corporate events.

The repertoire of Mango Punch! is among the most diverse in Texas! It includes pop, rock, Top 40, funk, Motown, reggae, swing, jazz standards, and music from the 50s to current. Mango Punch! can also perform a wide variety of Latin music styles, including salsa and merengue. For cocktail and dinner, Mango Punch! plays slow and mid-tempo songs at a lower volume. When it’s party time, they transform into a high-energy dance ensemble that will get your party moving! Engaging the audience, the band never follows a predetermined setlist, but will shape the repertoire in a way that keeps the dance floor full. Band leader Walter Suhr encourages audience participation and regularly leads guests into fun group dances to keep your guests on the dance floor and having fun ALL NIGHT LONG!
