Outlaws of Funk

"Austin based super-group of the funkiest musicians the town has to offer, playing the choicest cuts of outlaw country, funk, and rock from every corner of the musical spectrum. If Waylon Jennings and Parliament Funkadelic got mixed up in the washing machine, Outlaws of Funk would be the tie-dyed pearl snap that emerged from that funky water.

The band's sound is a mix of covers and originals, but can lean in more in either direction. Cover selection ranges from 70s outlaw country to 90s pop country with some modern country peppered in. The sound is very ""Austin"" in that it's a mix of country and funk/jam without going too far out where it would lose folks. We even have a mix of long haired hippies and boots and belt buckle cowboys in the band."
