Oftentimes people think it’s too late to book live music for an event, but this is hardly ever true! If you are looking to book music for your wedding day, we highly recommend booking far in advance to make sure you get the band you really want for your dream wedding, as it is not uncommon for the most popular wedding bands to book out a year or more in advance, especially for Saturday weddings. But for other event types and days of the week, it is really never too late to find awesome live music for your party! We have booked entire Rainey Street buyouts with multiple bands and musical acts with less than two weeks notice. We have booked happy hour solo artists with less than 48 hours notice. Securing live music for your event, especially in the “Live Music Capital of the World,” is more attainable than you might think.
At Moontower Entertainment, we pride ourselves in getting back to all of our prospective clients within 24-48 hours with a wide variety of available options to choose from that are below, on, or slightly above budget.
Here are our recommended lead times when it comes to booking live music for your next party:
WEDDINGS:
6-12 months out for Saturday weddings (for less busy wedding seasons (i.e. January, February, July and August, it is not uncommon for your favorite bands to still have availability 3 months out or less).
CORPORATE PARTIES:
Again, it depends on the day of the week, but for all non-Saturday inquiries, Moontower Entertainment can usually secure the perfect entertainment for your event in two weeks or less. The only exception to this rule is the holiday season! Corporate holiday parties are back in full swing and people are booking their music 3-4 months out. We would recommend getting a jump on booking all of your vendors for your upcoming holiday party ASAP.
HOUSE PARTIES/PRIVATE EVENTS:
Whether it’s a birthday party, anniversary party, or a party just because, we feel confident in our ability to book you live music entertainment you and your guests will LOVE with two weeks or less notice. Again, you’ll want to secure earlier than that if you are planning on throwing your party on a Saturday because you will be competing with the thousands of weddings that take place in Austin every year.
